PERFORMED BY THE RUSSIAN ICE STARS - BOURNEMOUTH INTERNATIONAL CENTRE
WEDNESDAY 6 – SATURDAY 30 AUGUST 2008
The Russian Ice Stars return to the Bournemouth International Centre this summer with their spectacular production of Beauty and the Beast on Ice, starring the world’s tallest professional ice skater, Andrey Chuvilyaev.
Andrey, who was a member of the 2006 Russian Olympic team, stands at over 2 metres in his bare feet and plays the part of the cursed prince. Towering above the rest of the company Andrey carries out the world’s highest lifts with Beauty, performed by Olga Pershankova.
Full of magic, music and some of the most spectacular ice dancing you will ever see, this really is the must-see show for summer 2008. Thrill-a-minute skating from the world-renowned Russian Ice Stars combines with stunning choreography that will captivate young and old alike. A fantastic set and new, state-of-the-art lighting and fire effects add an extra dimension to this heart-stopping, jaw-dropping spectacle of tragedy and romance.
Beauty & The Beast on Ice features all the characters from the original fairytale in a fabulous theatrical ice show, as the auditorium is transformed into a real ice rink for the show’s three week run in Bournemouth. The outstanding choreography by Cavaliere Giuseppe Arena (who staged the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin) complements an original musical score by acclaimed Italian composer Silvio Amato.
With children’s tickets priced at just £10, Beauty & The Beast on Ice is a treat that all the family can enjoy this summer!
